Slack Free

Slack Free gives teams an ongoing workspace for channels, direct messaging, file sharing, basic calls and a limited number of app integrations. It can support small teams that primarily need current communication rather than a permanent searchable archive.

Only the most recent 90 days of messages and files remain accessible on the Free plan, and data older than one year is deleted. The plan also limits app integrations and advanced collaboration, administration, security and AI capabilities compared with paid Slack plans.

Small teams, community groups and lightweight projects that need organized real-time communication but do not require a long-term searchable message archive.
