Perplexity

Perplexity Standard is a free plan with practically unlimited basic searches, search history for account holders, three Pro Searches per day, one Research query per month and limited file uploads. Basic searching can be used without signing in; an account is required for Pro Search, uploads and saved sessions.

The free plan does not include selectable advanced AI models, image generation, file or app creation, the Comet browser agent or premium support. File uploads are limited and require sign-in. Perplexity’s current plan-comparison page specifies three Pro Searches daily, although another account-help page still says five; Muft uses the newer dedicated plan table. For Free users, AI data retention is enabled by default and may be used for model improvement unless switched off in Account Settings; opting out applies only to future collection.

Quick web research where visible citations and follow-up questions matter more than advanced model choice or high-volume deep research.
