Otter Basic is free forever and includes 300 transcription minutes per month for live or imported meeting audio, with a 30-minute accessible transcript limit per conversation. It supports unlimited real-time recordings within the monthly allowance, three lifetime audio or video file imports, automated summaries, speaker identification, web and desktop access, and iOS and Android apps.

Minutes do not roll over, and deleting a conversation does not restore used minutes. Only the first 30 minutes of a longer conversation are accessible on Basic until upgrading. The three file imports are lifetime, not monthly. Only the 25 most recent conversations remain visible, older ones are archived, and Basic exports are TXT only. Otter AI Chat is capped at 20 queries monthly and three per conversation.
